A blood clot which is called a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can form in a vein, usually in the leg. Blood clots are common in trauma and surgery patients. If a physician fails to prevent blood clots by using blood thinner drugs, a clot can form and travel to the lungs causing a pulmonary embolism (PE) and death. A physician who fails to either diagnose or prevent and treat a blood clot can be guilty of medical negligence.
Attorney Kurt Lloyd of the Lloyd Law Group has successfully prosecuted and won many fatal blood clot cases. Kurt has hired many leading physicians to investigate and win fatal pulmonary embolism cases.
